Andover Township Volunteer Fire Department is committed to providing professional emergency fire rescue services to the citizens of Andover Township. The station is made up of brave souls who risk their lives every day in order to keep our community safe. We also work toward improving fire safety awareness via educational courses, community programs, station house tours and more.

Gear Up & Join

Being a volunteer firefighter can be a very rewarding experience. It offers you the chance to work with state-of-the-art equipment and a chance to become involved in the community.  We will provide all of the training and education that you will need in order for you to perform your duties. The Andover Township Fire Department is 100% volunteer and we are constantly recruiting members to maintain the quality of the services we provide to the community.

You do not need any prior experience.  The training you receive is at no cost to you.  The below link is for the Sussex County Public Safety Academy which will provide you some insight as to the length of training and course curriculum:

If you are interested in joining please click on the PDF application link below.  You can scan and email the application back to station32fire@atpd.org or stop by our firehouse located at 625 Limecrest Road on any Monday night after 7PM to hand it in directly.  Handing it in directly will provide you with the opportunity to speak with a member directly, ask questions and tour our firehouse to see what we are all about.
